One of the many awesome things about #BeerAdvent2020 is that the different participants bring beers forward that speak to where they came from. In case you can't tell from his great twitter handle @OKinDC hails from Oklahoma, and on Day 7 he brought us a really fun Oklahoma beer, Prairie Seasick Crocodile (3.83/87/89).
When I saw the Prairie logo peek through the wrapping paper, I was terrified that there was a Monday night 12oz Bomb! in my future. Seasick Crocodile is a littler beer clocking in at 6.3% abv, but was a really fun way to start the week. This gose has ginger, nutmeg and a bunch of other holiday spices and honestly tasted more like a fun winter cocktail than a beer. It walked the fine line between interesting and good, but ultimately falls on the right side of the line. I gave it 3.75 stars on Untappd, with a possible quarter star bonus for good can art:)
The great part of #BeerAdvent2020 is that this is a can that I would never buy on my own. I tend not to purchase a ton of light sour stuff, and certainly not stuff that really pushes the boundary of bizarre ingredients. However, because @OKinDC hails from Oklahoma and because he's got good taste in beer, I got to try this and it was pretty damn good.
Back tomorrow with our second entry from @JonDCNatsFan!
