So Day 6 is my day to bring the beer, and in November I went to The Answer and did on the ground research to determine the best can of beer they had that I could bring to Beer Advent. The answer at The Answer was undeniable this beer whose name I simple refuse to retype (4.21/NR/NR).

It's super bright haze, with some stonefruit notes, silky mouthfeel and the right amount of bitterness. If you haven't been to The Answer, and you live within spitting distance of Richmond, you have no idea what you are missing. My family loves the place, and we know our server is going to totally screw up at least 25% of our food order, but we keep coming back. I need to get these guys back into Beer Madness...
But wait there's wine!
Wine bottle 2 of 6 shows up today and is a Cabriz Doc DAO Colheita Selectionada (3.7). This Portuguese blend has awesome depth of flavor. It clearly has spent some time inside of a barrel from the oak/vanilla notes, and yet has some cherry or red fruit notes that you don't typically get in a white. A little bit of acidity gives this a clean finish, and you have a bottle of wine that pairs well with appetizers and days that end in y.
Back tomorrow after my family and friends try to eat their weight in seafood....
