I was defeated by a throwing an awesome dinner party, and I fell behind on Beer Advent posts. I'm going to crank out a flurry of them today, and hope that I can get righteous by the time Thursday rolls around.
Day 7 was a West Coast IPA by Bluejacket named Spotless Mind (3.81/NR/3.8). This was an old school, malt forward, bitter AF IPA. For all of those people who are new to the IPA community, and enjoy haze, this is not the beer for you. It's 8%, and is aggressively hopped with Citra and Simcoe. It's a fun retro take to a few years ago when beers like Sierra Nevade Pale Ale and Zombie Dust were the flavor profiles that people associated with IPA. So, while not for everyone, the beer was a fun twist and a definite contrast to the hazies of week 1.
