The Beer Advent Calendar, Day 5: Other Half Triple Forever Citra

There is a subtle strategy to selecting beers for the #BeerAdvent2020 calendar.  You've got to know what night of the week you have, and how close you are to the end of the month.  Ain't nobody looking to drink a huge beer on a Tuesday in early December...  Now once we're closer to Christmas, all's fair on any given night.  @JFWynn had the honor, privilege and responsibility of the first Saturday night beer, and boy did he deliver.  Day 5 of Beer Advent gives us Other Half Triple Forever Citra (4.43/NR/NR).

Other Half has been killing it in NY for a while now, but they are relatively new to DC.  Forever Citra is a DC brewed beer and is a big hazy ass kicker.  It's got huge citrus notes and the big soft mouthfeel that comes from a 10% abv IPA.  Now Richmond clearly is still the beer capital of the Mid-Atlantic, but the immediate DC area is nothing to sniff at.  The addition of Other Half to a scene that already involves Aslin, DC Brau, Port City, Solace, Right Proper, 3 Stars, Bluejacket etc means that we now have more good breweries than we can shake a stick at.  Also, I know Beer Madness is 4-5 months away, but I expect Other Half to make some noise in that event...

BeerAdvent 2020 rages on and remains the highlight of each day.  Until tomorrow when we find out if two halves make a whole....
